Unlocking this map initiates the Ghost of Our Love quest, which rewards players with exclusive cosmetic items upon completion.

How to Find the Map with Floating Candles

Acquiring the map with floating candles depends directly on the Hogwarts house you chose at the beginning of your journey. Gryffindors discover the map in a crypt during The Hunt for the Missing Pages, while Slytherins locate it in a subterranean cavern. Hufflepuffs pick up the map behind a shop in Upper Hogsfield, whereas Ravenclaws find it inside the Owlery.

Starting Location and Time Requirements

Once you possess the treasure map, fast travel to the Forbidden Forest Floo Flame location just north of Hogwarts Castle. Walk towards the nearby stone bridge spanning the river right at the forest's entrance. Crucially, this quest can only be completed at night, so you must use the map menu to advance time if it is daytime.

Tracing the Path into the Forbidden Forest

When night falls, stand on the stone bridge and cast the Lumos spell using your wand. Casting Lumos triggers three magical floating candles to manifest in front of your character. Follow these glowing candles as they drift across the bridge and lead you along a winding path into the woods.

Claiming Your Quest Rewards

The candles will eventually guide you up a small hill to a romantic clearing furnished with a table and chairs. Upon reaching this destination, a hidden treasure chest will materialize nearby. Opening the chest completes the quest and rewards you with the Treasure-Seeker's Scarf.
